The Third International Sales Conference (TISCO) for the Astec Aggregate and Mining Group (AA&MG) was August 5-9, 2006. This event was held in
Milwaukee
,
Wisconsin
, and coincided with the 100 year anniversary celebration of Telsmith, Inc., who hosted TISCO this year
International dealers and AA&MG representatives began arriving in
Milwaukee
on August 4th & 5th. For those that were able to attend, a bus brought them to Telsmith’s facility to participate in their 100 Year Anniversary Party for an afternoon of music, food/refreshments, a plant tour and socializing. That evening a Cocktail Reception was held at the Wyndam hotel for the group.

Sunday, August 6th was the official opening of TISCO by Eduardo Barrera and Rick Patek.
 Introductions were made of all AA&MG Officers, Dealers, Agents, OEM Representatives and Customers. The AA&MG Company Presidents, ISs, ICs and other personnel were also introduced. This was followed by a welcome from Dr. J.
Don Brock
and presentations by Bob Stafford,
Neal Ferry
and Eduardo Barrera. The remainder of the day was spent on the individual and/or group presentations by the Dealers and concluded with an International Service presentation.
All day Monday and until mid-afternoon Tuesday, the participants attended Breakout Meetings presented by Astec Mobile Screens, BTI, JCI, KPI, Osborn and Telsmith. “Plant Design AAMG Software”, “Finance, Credit, etc.”, “Parts”, “How to Sell”, and “Company Overviews” were some of the topics that were covered in these sessions.
Monday evening Telsmith hosted a river & lake cruise aboard a European styled river boat. Margaritas, cocktails and a Mexican buffet were enjoyed as guests cruised along
Milwaukee
’s riverfront and onto
Lake Michigan
for a lakefront view.
On Tuesday afternoon, the participants grabbed a boxed lunch and boarded a bus to take them to Astec Mobile Screens for a facility tour and dinner hosted by Astec Mobile Screens.
Needing to cover a lot of information, the Breakout Meetings continued on Wednesday until 2:30 pm when the participants boarded a bus to take them to Telsmith’s plant for a tour.
TISCO wrapped up that evening with a Gala dinner in the Milwaukee Center Ballroom. International Awards were given out. Rick Patek of Telsmith and Joe Vig of Kolberg-Pioneer shared the President of the Year Award for 2006. A special remembrance clock was presented to Carol, the wife of the late Rich Mastropolo, Telsmith, Inc.
Bob Stafford was also presented with a special retirement ‘Founding Father’ award for the legacy he left to the AA&MG International Sales Division.
Eduardo Barrera officially closed the event at the end of the evening.
